BUILDING POSITIVE CHANGE: Trends and Perspectives in Central European Philanthropy

A Roundtable aimed to:

• Share current data on the development of the philanthropic sector, where it is now, and where it’s headed in the future drawn from case studies across the region.

• Discuss the impact of philanthropy on NGOs, civil society and community-based initiatives.

• Showcase successful efforts to encourage citizens to give back and inspire the CEU community Roundtable discussion with prominent leaders from the business and NGOs:

MAJA VRANIC - Head of Development, Ana & Vlade Divac Foundation

Experts shared individual case studies of efforts to address youth unemployment in Hungary and across a broader 28-country corporate network, strengthen the market economy and the institutions of democratic society in Bulgaria, and foster community spirit and solidarity in the society through philanthropy, advocacy and volunteerism in Serbia.

The event held on November 29, 2018 was a part of a part of CEU Philanthropy Week, co-organized by DEVO.
