A ROAD TO BUDAPEST - Lecture by MELANIE SEYMOUR, Head of BlackRock Budapest

On November 29, 2018, MELANIE SEYMOUR, Head of BlackRock Budapest held a lecture at CEU. The lecture was a part of CEU Philanthropy Week, hosted and organized by DEVO. 

Welcome notes were delivered by CEU President & Rector, Michael Ignatieff, followed by Melanie Seymore's personal and professional stories of challenges, choices and decisions and success in the last 30 years. 

Ms. Seymour has been responsible for the setup, buildout and future growth of BlackRock Budapest, an integral part of BlackRock’s global operating model and an innovation hub where the staff is encouraged to think differently, try different approaches and use technology in different ways. Melanie has over 30 years of experience in finance and banking, holding senior roles in technology, operations, and change management, as well as running her own business. 

The 60-member audience, included CEU staff, students, visitors as well as 15 RGPP students and Alumni, sho had an opportunity to talk to Ms. Seymour and approach her with questions and ideas regarding inclusion for Roma within the business field.
