Born and raised in the United States as the son of first generation Hungarian immigrants, I have lived and worked in Hungary as a teacher of English for the last 25 years. My activities have given me the opportunity to deal extensively with secondary school and university students as well as adults in a variety of professional settings. The central aim of my work as a native speaker has always been to facilitate face to face communication, helping my students to develop their speaking skills and increase their confidence in using the language. I have found that once participants in my sessions feel comfortable expressing themselves, they can begin using the language as a tool for exploring and analyzing the world around them. It is a privilege being a part of this process, but also an adventure that leads far beyond the language itself.
