ERIAC and CEU Romani Studies Program launches the Barvalipe Online University

Bavarlipe Roma Online University is an online educational platform where Roma and non-Roma can access knowledge about the Roma identity(ies), history(ies) and culture(s) thorough a collection of high-quality lectures delivered by leading Roma scholars on topics ranging from the Roma Holocaust to Roma cultural productions. In partnership with Central European University (CEU), this project is part of ERIAC’s Roma Cultural History Initiative financed by the German Federal Foreign Office (FFO).

 

Webinar: Anti-Romani Racism During COVID-19 Pandemic

On September 2, 2020, leading scholars and activists will discuss the additional challenges and risks Romani people are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic during a webinar, “Anti-Romani Racism During COVID-19 Pandemic.” The event will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. EDT (4 to 5:30 p.m. CEST). The event will be streamed live on the FXB Center’s Facebook page.

Who is afraid of identity politics? Lessons from Romani activism

The invited scholars critically reflected on identity politics and the potentials and dilemmas of identity-based activism in the Romani movement.

The Roma Access Programs (RAP) is pleased to invite you to the annual student seminar of the Roma Graduate Preparation Program (RGPP) for the 2015-2016 academic year. The event marks the culmination of a full year of hard work and study by our students.

The two-day seminar will take place on 20 and 21 June. The sessions will feature final research paper presentations by all the RGPP students and will simulate a real conference setting.
