CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
Short-Term Paid Intern Position at Romani Studies Program
Fall/Winter 2017-18
CEU's Roma Access Programs (RAP) is transformed into the Romani Studies Program (RSP) as of August 1, 2017. RSP is a new academic unit at CEU, encompassing the Roma Graduate Preparation Program (RGPP) and Roma in European Societies (RES) initiative.
RES is a collaborative initiative supporting efforts to improve the situation of Roma in all sectors at the local, national, and regional levels through teaching, course development and research, leadership development, and community outreach.
The Romani Studies Program invites applications for two short-term internship positions for 3-5 months. The applications are open to RSP alumni (former RGPP/RELP students). As the remuneration for this internship is modest, preference will be given to applicants who have an alternative source of income and already reside in Budapest.
The interns will be expected to assist with the project activities of the Roma in European Societies initiative. The internship will entail cc. 10 hours per week. A very good command of English, knowledge of other European language(s) as well as a proficient use of Office programs are an advantage.
Please send your CV and a motivation letter in English explaining why you believe this internship fits you, specifying your main skills and interests and how you think they could match the requirements and responsibilities of this internship. Interns will be selected through a competitive selection process based on their past experience as well as relevance of their motivation letter to the RES activities, which include support for research fellowships, Pan-European research and course development, issues related to executive education, academic conferences and workshops as well as community outreach.
Application deadline is November 7, 2017.
