RGPP  as You Lived It! Recruitment Flyer Design Contest Exclusively for RGPP Students & Alumni!

Submit your entry by MARCH 1 ! Deadline extended! 

This year’s RGPP recruitment is getting super exciting! We are also inviting our alumni to take part in a contest, where the first prize is EUR 300! 

The Romani Studies Program invites current RGPP students and ALL RGPP alumni to enter an electronic RGPP recruitment flyer design contest. Through this competition you are required to submit your original graphic design that encourages eligible Roma persons to apply to RGPP in the 2024/2025 academic year.

Eligibility to submit a poster in the contest:

Currently enrolled RGPP students and all RGPP alumni.

Rules of the contest:

I.Technical criteria:

  • We only accept digital original artwork(s) submitted online to the designated platforms 
  • One person can only submit maximum 2 original artwork/posters design
  • You must not manipulate the RSP logo (any distortion is a violation of the copyright design) 
  • Size and format: PNG - please prepare and submit your entry(ies) in two sizes: 1306x734px and 1080x1080px 

II. Mandatory elements:

prompt(s) that includes application deadline (April 8, 2024), academic year (2024/25), program name (Roma Graduate Preparation Program), RSP website link (https://romanistudies.ceu.edu), RSP logo (see logo options at the end of this document)  

III. Language: 

English

IV. Licenses, credits of any used images, visuals:

You are responsible for making sure the images used are your own or you obtained permission from the artist/owner of the images prior to sending them to us.

V. Submission deadline:

February 21, 2024 

Step 1: Email your digital artworks (sizes and format describe above) to Nemethk@ceu.edu If you have one artwork, email 2 files, if you have 2 artworks, submit 4 files. Please email all files in one email. Subject: RGPP As You Lived it - [YOUR NAME AND THE TITLE OF YOUR POSTER]

Step 2: Complete the online submission form. Any work received past the deadline or missing any mandatory elements will not be considered.

We must receive both the email and form before the deadline. 

VI.How are the winners selected? 

Submissions compete in two categories.

GRAND PRIZE
The Grand Prize winner is selected by a panel of judges* consisting of RSP employees. The submissions for this award will be judged on the following criteria: Originality, Style of Communication (including, ability to reach our target population, use of written language and visuals, adherence to branding, and Unique Point of View).

RSP Panel Award/First Place:  300 EUR

RSP panel of judges: RSP staff and faculty. Panel judges cannot be contestants. 

AUDIENCE CHOICE
The Audience Choice winner is awarded based on the number of votes collected through the on-line voting system. A contestant is eligible to win both of the two awards. 

Community Award: 300 EUR

All submitted works will go through a review. Once all works are submitted and reviewed to see they meet community and CEU standards, RSP will upload all eligible posters on the RSP’s website to a voting page and share the voting page on social media. Once these posts are public, you are welcome to re-share your poster and the voting link. IMPORTANT: please only reshare the posts directly from RSP’s website, as this will ensure your friends know how and where to vote for you. Do not upload the submitted artwork on your own profiles, since this will send all your votes on a detour (!)

The voting will run from March 4 - April 15. 

The winners of both awards will be announced on 20 April 2024.

By submitting an entry to the RGPP as you lived it! you grant the Romani Studies Program (RSP) an exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, assignable and royalty-free worldwide license, to use (eg to publish, adapt, translate, reproduce, disseminate, rent, broadcast, make available on the Internet, stream, or otherwise communicate to the public in any form or through any medium whatsoever) your entry for Romani Studies Program (RSP) ’s educational, promotional and administrative purposes. Remember, your poster will recruit the RGPP students of tomorrow!

The electronic voting for the best poster will start on March 4th, so be sure to send your poster in on time!
