Are you up for helping a current RGPP or MA student by sharing your professional and academic expertise?
CEU Romani Studies Program is launching a study and career focused voluntary pilot mentoring.
Voluntary mentors are matched with current RGPP and MA students seeking to learn about study and career pathways during their studies and after CEU. Mentors give advice and insights about what it's like to study at CEU and/or after graduating what it's like to work in their fields and organizations, the skills and experience required, and how to enter their sector. The program seeks to help students throughout their RGPP/MA student journey by linking them to the bigger community of the RSP family; to clarify their career interests by learning from working professionals; and to provide alumni the opportunity to give back to the newer generations.
The program encompasses both short term, intensive mentoring (e.g. focusing on a student paper, job application) and longer mentoring involving regular online or personal meetings.
Who can be a voluntary mentor?
- Alumni of the Romani Studies Program at CEU
- Alumni of the Roma Graduate Preparation Program at CEU
- Current PhD students who have been affiliated with CEU RSP
- Current Students of the Advanced Certificate in Romani Studies at CEU who are willing to mentor preparatory students
