Roma Day Conference 2023

The annual celebration of Roma Day brings together Roma communities, Roma and non-Roma academics and activists who are focused on advancing Roma rights and celebrating Roma culture. Roma Day is celebrated on April 8 since 1971.

Edita Rigova at Harvard University - Alumni Stories

Edita Rigova is an RSP alumna from Slovakia. She is a brilliant and hard-working professional who loves challenges. In the past years, next to working full-time, she has also been pursuing her PhD. Edita is a PhD student at the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Slovakia.  Her research interest focuses on Romani studies and Roma marginalization. Her PhD project explores the practice of establishing remote vocational schools in areas with Roma population and their impact on Roma inclusion. 

Women's Rights and RGPP

 Over the past 19 years, we had a significant number of RGPP students interested in gender equity. These students often choose to take tutorial during their RGPP year in gender studies, sociology, and in public policy to learn more about the struggles of bringing about gender equity for all and advancing women’s rights. In this academic year we have two students taking introductory classes in gender studies from their tutor, Andrés Sarabia.

Museum Study Trip

The exploratory learning facilitated by Lucija Balikić, our history and cultural heritage studies tutor, continues in the second term! Trips like this throughout the year provide opportunities for students to immerse into the history around them and use critical thinking while engaging with the artefacts.
