Over the past two decades, in the wake of post-communist transition, the emergence of Romani activism has been an important development accompanying political changes in Central and Eastern Europe. Alongside the emergence of Romani associations, international NGOs have been increasingly involved in the struggle against the discrimination of Roma. A special microcosm has developed within global civil society that is specialized in the so-called ‘Roma issue’, comprising non-governmental and inter-governmental organizations, expert bodies, foundations, activists and politicians.

Project Management Workshop for RELP students

The Project Management Workshop organized by Civil Support Nonprofit Kft and led by Noemi Ambrus was a great success for the RELP students AY15/16.

The workshop was divided into four sessions (May 25, May 27, June 1 and June 6), ending with a fifth one, June 8, for the final presentations. Students, divided into groups of three, worked on various projects, with topics ranging from Teaching English to Roma children or training disadvantaged people to get access to higher education, to keeping the Roma values alive through a different kind of education.
