We are delighted to congratulate our former graduate, Arman Heljić, (RGPP 2014) on successfully defending his PhD dissertation, Poesis of Romani Queer Utopia: Aesthetic and Affective Approaches in Queer Romani Artistic Practices, at the University of Gothenburg.
His dissertation makes an original contribution to Critical Romani Studies, queer theory, and performance studies by examining how queer and feminist Romani artistic practices challenge antiziganism and heteronormativity while creating new possibilities for self-representation, belonging, and collective futures.
We warmly congratulate Arman on this outstanding achievement and wish him every success in the next stage of his academic career.
