Judit Veres has been a sociology and social anthropology (and at times Gender Studies) tutor at RGPP for several years. Judit holds a Sociology and Social Anthropology Ph.D. from the CEU/Central European University, a CEU Gender Studies MA. She also earned a BA in English and Hungarian Philology.

I believe that a combination of social sciences and literature and art can take us far in providing the tools to help us decipher the complexity of world around us.

As a tutor, I have taken students outside the classroom setting on city tours/walks where we have visited museum exhibitions, contemporary art installations. The aim is to help students critically reflect on in-class discussion, and bring that body of knowledge in dialogue with others, discover, reflect, question and imaginatively respond to the myriad connections that run through us, the nexus of democracy, democratic practices and cities, political projects and we, common people - in our capacity as city dwellers, citizens, visitors, refugees, women, men, children etc.
