On June the 4th 2015, Semiha Harapi (RGPP '15), Sebijan Fejzula (RGPP '13), and Eva Csiki (RAP '09) - some of the current and previous Roma Access Programs (RAP) students, the RGPP Program Manager, and the RAP Director had the pleasure to meet Beth Fernandez, Programme Officer at Sigrid Rausing Trust (SRT). From 2014, we have developed a SRT-CEU pilot internship grant scheme, specially designed to facilitate the access to real-world work experience in order to enhance our students’ applications for further study or meaningful employment. We are in the second year of this initiative, and the results are extremely promising.
In the past year, our students completed internships at international institutions, such as: the University of Granada, the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, the University of Montana, the United States Embassy in Slovakia, Zurich University of Teacher Education, and Nottingham University.
To the date, 181 students have participated in the Roma Access Programs experience, thanks to our donors. One of them is Sigrid Rausing Trust, a UK grant-making organization, established in 1995, working to support the expansion of human rights world-wide.
