The Roma Access Programs (RAP) unit is looking for an intern to join the team for 8 months (May– December, 2016) as part of the Sigrid Rausing Trust Internship Grants.
The RAP intern will help with the administration of the overall internship program, supporting fellow interns during their internship. The RAP intern is expected to start the internship in May 2016, and is likely to work through December 2016. As the remuneration for this internship is modest, preference will be given to applicants who have an alternative source of income and already reside in Budapest.
Duties and responsibilities:
- provides information to prospective applicants regarding RAP-SRT Program by e-mail.
- organizes and schedules interviews for the pre-selected applicants
- maintains the communication with RAP-SRT applicants throughout the process of selection, acceptance, rejection
- notifies rejected and accepted applicants
- maintains the database of the applicants and the RAP-SRT application packages
- gives support to Intern fellows during their internship experience abroad
- collects financial and progress reports from interns and evaluations from host institutions
- assists RAP with other miscellaneous tasks
- collects and prepares various statistical data, tables on RAP-SRT applications, acceptance numbers
- prepares final reports for the Donor organization following the given deadlines in cooperation with the supervisor.
Qualifications:
This opportunity is available for graduates of the Roma Access Programs and preference will be given to those living in Hungary for the entire duration of the internship. Additionally, we expect candidates to have:
- A very good command of English. Any other European language will be considered a plus
- Solid knowledge of Office programs (World, Excel etc.)
- Experience with office work as a team player full of enthusiasm and eager to learn
- Ability to adjust and react promptly to applicants’ requests
- Great capacity for organizing and classifying files
- Highly motivated and flexible with the schedule
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
Duration and conditions of employment:
Definite period of time, May – December, 2016.
