Applications are now being accepted for the Integrom program. Integrom is a corporate placement program for young Roma with secondary or higher education. The program starts on June 2, for a 2-day (2-3 June) training at CEU, followed by a placement process at the partner companies.
Priority will be given to Hungarian and other EU citizens, but the call is open to all Roma Access Programs students and alumni, currently enrolled at CEU. Deadline: 19 May 2016.
The current training will be offered in English, therefore applicants with at least an intermediate level of English are welcome. However, participants who lack the necessary English knowledge and who speak Hungarian will have the opportunity to join our Hungarian training in October. What is Integrom? The Integrom program aims to be the missing link between Roma, with at least secondary education, and the labor market, promoting access to quality employment in the corporate sector that opens opportunities for a long-term career.
The program supports participants through:
- providing information about accessible job opportunities;
- preparing the applicants for the recruitment procedures;
- connecting them directly to employers with relevant openings;
- supporting applicants throughout the recruitment process;
- mentoring in the initial phase of employment.
The project is managed by the Boston Consulting Group, a leading strategy consulting firm, and Autonomia Foundation, a Hungarian NGO with 25 years of experience in the field of Roma integration. The Integrom Program was initiated in 2014. Since then, 86 young, educated Roma have participated in its trainings, more than 40 have entered job interviews, and 12 have been placed with our corporate partners.
Who are the corporate partners?
Integrom Program partners with large corporations in Hungary who are committed to the issue of Roma integration. Core Integrom partners include large banks (Budapest Bank, Raiffeisen, ERSTE), large energy companies (EOn, Schneider Electric, GE Power, BP) and other large multinational corporations (Telekom, LEGO etc.)
What type of positions are available?
The corporate partners recruit Integrom participants for all open positions (from entry level to managerial). However, entry-level positions are the best fits for our participants:
- Back Office and Customer Services (banks, energy and telecom companies)
- Junior Expert (programming, finance, marketing etc.)
- Traineeship (open for full-time students) These entry-level positions are good opportunities to start a corporate career. Some Integrom participants have already been promoted from these positions and worked their way up in the corporate sector.
Geography: the jobs are offerd in Hungary. Therefore, successful placement will require the legal ability to work in Hungary (no problem for Hungarian or other EU citizens, but there are foreseeable complex procedure for people from non-EU countries).
