Last year I have been granted the chance to study in the Roma Graduate Preparation Program. For a long time, it had been a dream of mine to be part of the Central European University. I have always had an interest in the education of minorities, and about the popular discourse on Roma, RGPP was the program which led me to find my true focus. I had the chance to have tutoring in Human rights and in Public Policy. With those Academic classes, I have achieved a great improvement both in English and essay writing. It strengthened my independence as a student and left me enough space to pursue my Academic interests. The professional environment and the classmates I had was an additional inspiration when applying to the Public Administration program at CEU and elsewhere. I believe that Roma youth and students need to gain more confidence and skills in order to continue their studies. Education is the future of the next generation of Roma, and it is extremely important to give chances and take chances.
