Welcome Back Alumni - First Virtual Event of the Academic Year

On November 6, 2021, the Romani Studies Program held the first Alumni & RSP Community event of the 2021/2022 academic year!

RSP invited all generations & friends to a social event. Grantees and students of more than 8 cohorts joined the event! During the event, RSP community members talked about the shared passion for and commitment to the community.

RGPP 2020/2021 cohort

 The Romani Studies Program (RSP) has successfully closed the initiative of Roma in European Societies (RES). This was a unique and collective initiative that created a pathway to higher education to support the emergence of Roma intelligentsia in various sectors from academia to policy making and business. The RES donors, VELUX Foundations, Open Society Foundations-Roma Initiative Office (OSF - RIO), and the Roma Educational Fund (REF) provided financial support for the past six years. RSP hosted the last RES Advisory Board meeting in October 2021, which marked the end of the RES project.

Advanced Certificate Program in Romani Studies Launches

This academic year the Romani Studies Program at Central European University launched the Advanced Certificate Program in Romani Studies. This new Advanced Certificate Program focuses on giving students a deeper understanding of the complex situation of Roma and the multifaceted challenges that decision makers are facing in designing and implementing equity-minded policies and legislations various sectors.
