Jan graduated from the Roma Graduation Preparation Program in 2014.
Thanks to the stipend from SRT he was able to work for the American Embassy in Bratislava, getting to know the diplomatic American services in his country. Although also did research for the Transatlantic Trade Investiment Partnership (TTIP), his main focus was mainly on human rights and the situation of children and Roma communities in Slovakia. During the commemoratin of Roma Holocaust, Jan was able to organize meetings in his home town Banska Bystrica. "As a result, the representatives of the embassy broadened their overview about the striking situation of Roma in Slovakia", Jan reports proudly after the internship.
After dedicating much of his energy working for the Roma communities, being a teaching assistant at the Gandhi secondary school in Zvolen, Slovakia, Jan is currently doing his master's in Prague, at the Anglo American University, within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences.
